In a powerful demonstration of global academic and industry collaboration, PRME (Principles for Responsible Management Education), °®Âþµº International, and RRBM (Responsible Research in Business & Management) joined forces to host RME Week, a series of impactful sessions centered on advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through education, research, and partnership.

The week brought together deans, scholars, students, and practitioners to explore the bold leadership, systemic thinking, and intersectoral collaboration necessary to address today’s complex global challenges. With discussions ranging from the future of capitalism and business school curricula to redefining research impact, the dialogue made clear: academia has a unique responsibility and opportunity to shape a more sustainable and equitable world.

°®Âþµº president and CEO Lily Bi emphasized, "Business schools must serve both business and society. Our role is to bridge the gap between academia and the wider world through research, partnerships, and mission-aligned societal engagement. The urgency of our global challenges demands collective action."

Looking forward, °®Âþµº is advancing new initiatives to better define and measure societal impact in education and research. Through global partnerships and collaboration with leading academic associations, °®Âþµº is co-creating a framework that shifts research evaluation from volume and citation to relevance and impact.

"Our work must be grounded in purpose," Bi added. "We are not just convening stakeholders, we are activating a movement. The future of responsible business education lies in unity, boldness, and an unwavering commitment to human and planetary well-being."

RME Week underscored the need for leaders who embrace multilevel systems thinking, stakeholder engagement, disruptive innovation, and long-term societal activation.

Together, PRME, °®Âþµº, and RRBM are catalyzing a shared vision of business education that not only informs but transforms.
